about our academy

Owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Craig and Kristin Sorrenti, Central Valley Rock Academy is a one stop shop for all your music needs and wants. We offer private lessons for guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard/synth, and vocals. In addition to the private lessons, we offer the opportunity to play in a band no matter your level of expertise. We encourage our students to try different instruments and find their passion. As an added bonus, the academy has an in house recording studio available to all students. We pride ourselves in being a safe place for everyone. Both Craig and Kristin have worked with many differently abled people as well as people from all walks of life. Everyone is welcome here and hate or descrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Learn to play an instrument in a welcoming, relaxed environment.

Craig has been teaching and performing for over 30 years He is proficient in all styles and has extensive knowledge of music theory and soloing modalities His kind affect and exceptional patience create a fun and exciting learning environment

Kristin is a classically trained musician with over 25 years of teaching experience She has performed all over the state and is very proficient in music theory She teaches all styles including metal and scream vocals She encourages her students to stay true to themselves and provides a kind and welcoming atmosphere

Jimmy is an all star student of the academy and has embarked on a new adventure as one of our band coaches Jimmy is an exceptional musician and young man
